“WEST SIDE STORY”
ONE OF MASSIMO ROMEO PIPARO’S NEW SHOWS
ON STAGE IN THE NEXT SEASON

The musical “West Side Story”, in the version adapted for the Italian audience by Massimo Romeo Piparo who also directed it, is already announcing itself as one of the most anticipated novelties of the next theater season.

Based on the musical of the same name that Arthur Laurents, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim and Jerome Robbins created in 1957 inspired by William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, from which the famous film directed by Robbins himself with Robert Wise was also made in 1961, the show promises intense emotions thanks to the grandiose soundtrack composed by Bernstein, played by the live orchestra conducted by Maestro Emanuele Friello, and by a plot with strong tones, such as the conflicted love between two young people and the rivalry between two opposing gangs.
